There is no railway in Casares/Sabinillas. The nearest is Fuengirola 50km east along the coast or San Roque and Algeciras 30km west.

You need to know the origin and destination to get the timetables. The two suggestions below will provide you with a useful overview of the area covered by train.

Bus Transport
Operates the regular passenger transport by road on the Costa del Sol. Coaches and mini buses are also available for private hire. The number 27 goes from Marbella to Estepona.
The La liñea – Estepona service stops at Sabinillas.

Taxi Services
The Taxi fares from Malaga airport have two tariff bands:
Band 1
Weekdays between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00.
(Calculate fare at approx 0.9 euros per Km)
Band 2
Between 22:00 - 06:00 .Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays 24 hours.

There is a taxi rank just down the road from the Casares Del Sol development and the next nearest is in Sabinillas village, beside the Notary.
By Car
We know that it is a challenge for anyone who is unfamiliar with driving ‘on the wrong side of the road’, but the drive to Casares del Sol is not complicated. It takes 40-45 minutes depending on traffic.
Short directions :
1a. Leave the airport and head for ALGECIRAS,BENALMÁDENA CADIZ on the A7.
2a. Take two Toll roads (AP7)
3a. Stay on the A7 until the MA-546
4a. Turn right by ESSO garage (Casares Area)
5a. Casares del Sol (sign posted) is 1/2 km on right by new junction.

There is only one road out of the airport and you should follow the signs for Cadiz. Casares de Sol is just off the A7 so the simple advice is stay on the A7 and take the first two toll roads. When you see signs for the third toll road don’t take it.
The slip road takes you up and bends left. At the top of the slip road is an island. Drive round until you see A7 (not AP7) and drive down the slip road and at the end of the road you will see the town of Estepona then turn right towards Cadiz. (I always feel I’m about to join the road I’ve just left.)
At the sixth island turn right. MA-546 towards Casares
There is an ESSO petrol station and a brick building that reminds me of a pepper grinder. This is the road you will take after you have collected the key. Casares del Sol is 1 km (0.5 mile.) on the right.
